We offer loads of ways for school groups to engage with us, with expert-led activities and workshops.

Town history walk and Zoom

Our learning officer will lead you on a guided walk around the town, and then follow up with a Zoom session back in your classroom:

• £4 per child (accompanying adults free)
• Walk consisting of four stopping points covering St Neots Priory, early people and the river, the Market Square, and Old Hall Place or St Mary’s Church
• 40 minutes Zoom class sharing four objects, which reinforce the learning on the walk.

Zoom session – Meet the Museum

Join the learning officer and curator for a Q&A session all about the museum and the work we do behind the scenes:

• £40 for 40 minutes
• The session can also be tailored to fit in with your lesson plans if a Q&A isn’t for you.

School visit

Our learning officer can visit you in your classroom, and tailor a teaching session to a specific topic:

• £90 for two hours (including set-up and packing away)
• Includes teaching objects from our collection
• Can be undertaken outside in dry weather.

Loans boxes

Hire one of our 13 loans boxes, which contain a mixture of both real and replica items from different historical periods, including Romans, Tudor and World War II. Visit our Loans Boxes page for more info:

• £15 each for two weeks
• Add a Zoom call with the Learning Officer to discuss three items from the box (£25 for 30 minutes).
