We’re delighted to once again be taking part in Summer at the Museums, a fantastic programme led by Cambridge University Museums that encourages children and families to get creative, discover new skills, and explore museums across Cambridgeshire during the summer holidays.
Throughout the school holidays, St Neots Museum will be hosting weekly hands-on craft workshops designed to inspire young imaginations. Each session offers children the chance to create something unique while enjoying a fun, relaxed activity in the museum.
Workshops are just £5 per child, making them an affordable way to keep little hands busy over the summer. From colourful mosaics and clay name plates, there’s something different to enjoy each week.
Places are limited, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. We look forward to welcoming families to the museum for another summer of creativity and fun.

Week One – 29 & 31 Jul
Magic Mosaics
Create a mosaic picture using GF lasagne decorated with paints and sharpies. Experiment with colours and shapes.
Week Two – 5 & 7 August
Tie Dye Fun
Use tie-dye techniques to transform a plain bandana or scarf into a unique, colourful accessory.
Week Three – 12 & 14 August
Print, Print, Print
In this fun printmaking workshop, children will design and decorate their own personalised canvas bag using everyday objects and foam board stamps.
Week Four – 19 & 21 August
Create with Clay
Using a range of texture-making techniques, children will design and create their own personalised clay name sign or decorative tile.
Week Five – 26 & 28 August
Squidgy Pictures
In this playful painting workshop, children will use paint dots, lines, and simple mark-making techniques to create their own unique ‘Squidgy Picture’!
