Workshop: Straw Weaving

Learn an ancient craft with a modern twist! Join us for a creative family workshop where children discover the art of weaving and make their own colourful bracelet or bookmark using drinking straws.
Perfect for families who love learning new skills together! Children will master simple weaving techniques, create colourful patterns, and make a practical item they can use every day. A wonderful introduction to traditional crafts!

Who needs a ticket? Children aged 4+ (£5 per child); adult accompaniment required. Adults attend free.

Your session will be led by Lesley Sainsbury, our passionate Education Officer who loves bringing history to life for little learners. She and our friendly museum team can’t wait to welcome you!
