Workshop: Wire Portraits

Inspired by our photography exhibition, you’ll be making two portraits – one drawing on acetate film and the other sculpting with pipe cleaners. Wacky!

Who needs a ticket? Children aged 4+ (£5 per child); adult accompaniment required. Adults attend free.
What to bring? Just enthusiasm and creativity! All materials provided.
What Your Child Will Create
- Learn to use acetate film to trace a portrait
- Use pip cleaners and your imagination to sculpt a 3D portrait
- Choose colours and copy shapes
- Take home a handmade 3D portrait

Meet Your Guide

Your session will be led by Lesley Sainsbury, our passionate Education Officer who loves bringing history to life for little learners. She and our friendly museum team can’t wait to welcome you!
