A War to End No Wars, is a stop-motion animated short following the life of a British Soldier called Tommy Atkins during his time in the trenches of the First World War. Created by self-taught animator Ruth Coggins who spent many years researching and learning the craft as a hobby in her spare time. A War to End No Wars, started its life in 2009 as a planned tribute to Ruth’s Grandfather who passed away earlier that year. After it’s release in 2017 it has gone on to be shown at film festivals in the UK and abroad. The scenery and models from the film are on display in the museum, including the opportunity to see the film.
