Notes: Wooden handle set into wooden stock and shaped hand space. The metal piece which holds the bit is screwed into the wood. Metal decorative / reinforcing pieces are screwed both sides at the top and bottom.

Notes: Two moulded wood side pieces are separated by a central rectangular bar to which they are loosley joined. A replaceable toothed blade at one end of the frame is kept in tension by a stick with twisted cord at the other end.
Notes: Handle of traditional shape with central hole for hand. Traces of dark varnish. Secured to blade by 4 screws. One side decorated with 'poker work' leaf motif. Blade tapers from 16cm to 7 cm. Rough and corroded. Treated for woodworm.
Notes: Wooden moulding plane with shaped steel blade, attached fixed wooden guide rail and wooden blade adjuster.
Notes: Long rectangular plane of oiled hard wood. Handle inset of different wood. Steel blade and guard, firmly fixed. Name 'L. Settle' stamped in 2 places.
